After a few years of very detailed T-shirt graphics serving as branding for the Bluegrass Shotgun Championship, the organizers decided to go in a new direction for 2019. They wanted a simple logo that could be used year to year and be versatile enough for multiple applications. 


Since the annual competition brings in sports men and women from across the globe, they wanted to incorporate the shape of Kentucky so as to call attention to the championship's location. They also wanted to convey motion without resorting to obvious depictions of firearms. A fairly thick partial outline of the state with increasingly sized stripes moving toward a simple shotgun sight got the job done. 

The BGSC now has a logo that can easily be adapted for shirts, hats, awards, programs, and whatever else they need as a starting point for building their brand as a premiere competition for shotgun enthusiasts.
